Capturing the Caribbean Vibe
Corendon City Hotel Amsterdam is home to Mondi City, a restaurant that merges Caribbean flavors with French and Amsterdam influences. Frame+View was brought on board to visualize the newly designed ground-floor interiors and exterior, created by Bakovich Architects. With a long history of collaboration on hospitality projects, Mondi City was another opportunity to transform their innovative design into a compelling visual story.
The design for Mondi City was a complex mix of styles, materials, and colors, requiring precise attention to each element. Frame+View’s role was to integrate these varied components into a cohesive 3D visualization that would accurately reflect the restaurant’s unique ambiance.
To achieve this, our team created custom models and textures that captured the tropical, cozy, and otherworldly atmosphere envisioned by Bakovich Architects. The majority of the models were custom-designed specifically for this project, ensuring a faithful representation of the space.
From the warm lighting to the detailed textures, every aspect of the environment was meticulously crafted to transport viewers into the restaurant’s distinctive world. Our goal was to make the space feel as real as possible, providing a clear sense of the design’s immersive qualities.
Harmonizing the different materials, patterns, and furnishings was crucial to creating a cohesive final look. We worked to ensure that each texture and object worked in concert to bring out the desired feeling of warmth and exotic elegance.
Throughout the project, our focus remained on translating the design into a visual experience that feels alive and authentic. This approach allowed us to bridge the gap between concept and reality, bringing the design’s vision to life in a way that feels tangible.
